Superlative was born out of a passion for storytelling and a drive to do things differently.
We are the outsiders challenging the norms in the world of sports entertainment. With an underdog mentality, we tell stories, challenge stereotypes and push boundaries.
We specialise on the sidelines, in the shadows and outside of the box to drive sports storytelling in new and exciting ways.

A seasoned producer with a global track record in sports content, Gary has spent over 15 years delivering best-in-class content across the industry. As the founder of the studio, he has become a respected name in the paddock. Gary’s collaborative spirit forms the bedrock of the studio.

Sam's restless exploration of filmmaking gives him a deep understanding of both projects and the people who bring them to life. He knows that passion is essential, and as a creative director, he focuses on assembling the right team for every project. His work with for brands like Tag Heuer and Red Bull Racing showcase his ability to craft bold, high-impact storytelling that resonates with audiences worldwide.

With over 25 years in the TV industry, Sarah brings a wealth of experience across documentary, entertainment, children’s, arts, performance capture and live TV. She has collaborated with major broadcasters, distributors, and talent, ensuring high-quality productions from concept to completion. At Superlative, Sarah oversees all projects; keeping everything on track from initial budgeting through to final delivery.

Cameron is an award-nominated photographer, documentary filmmaker, and storyteller with an incredible talent for uncovering unique, human stories. Fresh from his Distinction-winning MA in Journalism and Documentary Practice, he’s already made waves with his research work on Night Coppers (Series 2 & 3) and directing photography campaigns for fashion brands T.M. Lewin and Soar.

Matt is an award-winning director and DoP, with a wealth of experience in branded content, commercials and documentaries. Matt takes projects from concept to completion, overseeing everything from pre-production planning to on-set execution and post-production finesse. He’s worked on campaigns for Rolls-Royce, BBC Storyworks, UFC, Audi, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Trustpilot, and Save The Children to name but a few.

As our in-house production coordinator, Lucy is the backbone of our studio’s operations, ensuring every production runs seamlessly from planning to execution. With a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach, she streamlines workflows and keeps everything on track. Her recent credits include Interior Design Masters (2024), Netflix Rugby Six Nations (2024), and The Big Steam Adventure (2023).
